Singer-songwriter Chelsea Cutler has announced the release of her fourth studio album, IS THIS THE END?, arriving on Sept. 25 via Mercury Records/Island Records UK. Pre-save/pre-order the album here.
Cutler has also taken the opportunity to share her newest hit single, “THIS TIME OF THE YEAR.”
The inspiration behind IS THIS THE END? comes from Cutler’s life in New York and the “chaos, exhilaration, heartbreak, uncertainty, and self-discovery” of the artist’s late twenties, according to a press release.
“To me, this record is truly everything all at once,” Cutler shared.
“It is the sunset over the West Side Highway, the diamonds on the East River from a rooftop in Dumbo, the vastness of the Manhattan skyline, the echoes of laughter over beers with friends, the nervous anticipation before a first date, the euphoria of a good high, the thrill of kissing somebody new, the joy of dancing until four in the morning, the brutal dizziness and disorientation of being too fucked up, the stale air in the room after violent sobbing, the stubborn remnants of grief that linger after heartbreak, the pit in your stomach, the stillness of the city at sunrise, the existential questions you ask yourself repeatedly.”
