Jade Bird questions, ‘Who Wants to Talk About Love’ with new album announcement

Date:

Sometimes the universe works in mysterious ways. Just when we’re at what seems like rock bottom in the moment, we realize that it’s that exact universal feeling we can transform into something new and beautiful. That is just what UK-born, LA-based artist Jade Bird went through while making her single “Dreams” for her recently announced third studio album entitled Who Wants to Talk About Love. It’s an album filled with passages between reckoning and release and was worked on by many impressive, carefully chosen collaborators. It’ll be released via Glassnote Records on July 18th.

Jade notes how personal this album is, as she pours out thoughts and feelings that have been deeply rooted within her for years, and on this album she’s finally facing the unavoidable truth. Using songwriting as an outlet has given her a newfound sense of self, freedom, and forgiveness from the once broken relationships both in her life and within herself that have been challenging.

Who Wants to Talk About Love will continue on her streak of being quite genre-bending, yet doing it all on her own terms. Jade keeps her lyrics and sound true to herself in a refreshingly honest way, offering hope for what’s to come in spite of what has passed.

Jade is confirmed for this year’s Glastonbury and Latitude Festivals in the UK, and will be touring with Tom Odell as the opening act on his upcoming North American Spring tour – full dates can be found below and tickets can be purchased here.
