Every Monday, we bring you a playlist filled with tracks the Melodic staff has been listening to on repeat. Hear some of our latest obsessions below:

Knox – “Me, Myself & Your Eyes” Our recent eZine cover star has us convinced that he can’t do any wrong with his music. An immediate banger, “Me, Myself & Your Eyes” is yet another Knox classic that will be on replay in your head. It focuses on the concept of being with someone special and how their presence alone is enough. Over vibrant rhythms and synth, Knox sings, “I don’t know these songs / This bartender’s kinda weird / Girl, we’ve been here too long, so we should get up out of here,” making the case to spend some alone time with this person.
– Christine Sloman

——

Jane N’ The Jungle – “Life of the Party” If you enjoy classic rock, haunting harmonies, and catchy melodies, then Jane N’ The Jungleis the band for you. The lyrics on the song allude to drug abuse, creating the connection between genuine and metaphorical addiction, and the dark roads it leads to. The track itself keeps this dark theme present by introducing the listener to heavy guitars, haunting vocals, and somber drum fills.
– Caroline Speer

Imogen Clark – “Big One” …s not your usual indie-pop anthem, it’s also an honest reflection of longing and self-worth. The song delves into the universal desire to be significant in someone else’s life. Imogen’s emotive vocals and the beautiful melody make sure that the song stays in everyone’s ears long after it ends.
– Laury Verdoux

Sloane Skylar – “Airplane Mode (feat. KID Tye)” …feels like a late night out on the town sipping a glass of wine. Skylar’s velvety and light vocalsAbout this song accompanied with Tye’s distinctive vocals adds to the listening experience and shoots the listener on a unique but inviting musical journey.
