Upstairs Open releases dreamy new ‘MOTH’

Date:

Feel ethereal through the melding of organic and electronic instruments contrasting the gorgeous harmonies of Upstairs Open. The London-based duo has recently reconnected in 2023 to release their first EP in 5 years; ‘MOTH.’ With a debut song almost at a million streams, Upstairs Open is destined to remain producing music together and we look forward to what’s to come.

Upstairs Open’s breakout EP hit streaming platforms in late July as an independent release a part of DITTO. The songs on this EP are simply whimsical, transcending you into a world of bliss. The opening track features co-writing partner Matt Allchin who has worked for artists such as Florence & The Machine. The melancholy yet dreamy beat will naturally make you feel uplifted and drawn in to listen further. An additional influence, French producer Jules Gulon, assisted in producing and mixing the track. His touch helped glorify the clean harmonies, dynamic melodies and wavy instrumentals of Upstairs Open’s unique sound. The indie scene is subtly addicted to Upstairs Open’s trademark musicianship derived from a mutual love for musical contrasts between the pair.
