LIVE PHOTOS: Lil Xan // New York, NY

Date:

Soundcloud rapper Lil Xan hit New York City just this past Saturday as apart of his Monster Energy Outbreak Tour. The rapper played two nights at commonly known venue Irving Plaza, packing the venue quite fully both nights. With his newest album hitting the scene titled “Heartbreak Soldiers” only a week before, I was excited to see and hear new material being played live but fortunate that the singer had played some of his older hits as it was my first time catching a show from the rapper.

First off, there was a total vibe and a buzz in the audience. Definitely an anticipation for him. The crowd was obviously psyched to see his performance. When he entered, he didn’t disappoint. Lil Xan’s raps were crisp, the beats were solid and electrifying. Xan’s stage presence was engaging, making us feel as if we were just a bunch of friends hanging out with Xan being the entertainment. He paid tribute to beloved fallen rappers Lil Peep, xxtentation, and Mac Miller; and the crowd went wild.

I definitely feel Lil Xan is climbing to the top in the cloud rap genre. I am happy to hear that he has been able to manage his addictions. The SoundCloud rap genre has really been hurt by great artists who have fallen to drug addiction. Lil Xan is a superstar and I look forward to enjoying him and his music for many years to come.

Check out the photos I took below and take a listen to Lil Xan’s newest release.
