New York based songwriter Patrick J Smith, most commonly known as A Beacon School, has released a new hit “Potion” off his first LP in five years, Yoyo, set to release October 13, 2023. While listening to “Potion” you will be hypnotized by the calming vocals, soothing guitars, and all around natural skill that Smith has made his own. Most known for his uptempo, jangly pop tunes and shoegaze style this beautiful song is no exception.
The official follow up to Cola, A Beacon School takes their skill to a whole new level with 10 tracks that are sure to blow you away and make you a forever fan. When speaking about “Potion” Smith stated “Potion” was written in one sitting back in 2019 and has been a live staple since then. It’s about feeling a burst of excitement about something new but also the fear that accompanies it.”
