YOUR ANGEL is about to “Misbehave” on new single

Before constructing the ethereal universe of YOUR ANGEL, Maddy Boyd was busy creating music in bands like Current Joys and Surf Curse.  She had a good run with these groups, playing over 150 sold out shows, but decided to leave them behind to pursue her own project in 2019.  In December of 2019, Maddy released her debut album, Pipe Dream, and YOUR ANGEL was born.  Maddy gained plenty of new fans through the album, who have continued to grow with and support her on each additional release.  Maddy plans on releasing her sophomore album later this year, but for now, fans can listen to “Misbehave,” the latest single from the album.

On “Misbehave,” YOUR ANGEL gets into the swirling mix of emotions that come with a new relationship. Over steady drums, synth, and shimmering guitar, she sings about getting to know this person better with lines like, “I love when you figure me out” and “It’s nice to get to know you / So won’t you stay with me tonight?”  Her sweet vocals make the track all the more charming, even when she sings, “I’m scared that I won’t be good for you, my baby.”  In the end, she is ready to misbehave with this person, to let them in and never let them go.  You can check it out below.

Telling us more about “Misbehave,” YOUR ANGEL explains,

“I wrote ‘Misbehave’ when I met my now boyfriend of two years.  It’s about wanting to throw all of my boundaries out of the window and move super fast with him because I felt like I had known him for my whole life.”

You can listen to “Misbehave” on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
