Annabel Gutherz teams up with Epic for a summery remix of “Retrograde”

Date:

It has been a few months since we last heard from singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz, who put out her latest release in March.  The single, “Retrograde,” was a forward-moving pop rock banger, complete with thought-provoking lyrics intended to inspire and energize.  It varied from the indie folk tracks we heard on Annabel’s debut album, Loose Ends, which came out last October.  Still, “Retrograde” beautifully illustrated Annabel’s diversity as an artist, and by giving us a new remix of the track, that diversity shines on.

With the help of LA-based producer Bret “Epic” Mazur (Black Eyed Peas, New Edition, BBD), Annabel puts a new twist on “Retrograde.”  Epic was able to pull back on some of the original’s pop elements, making room for more of Annabel’s vocals.  For the most part, though, the track retains its original bright riffs and colorful beats, making it a perfect jam for the summer.  You can check it out below.

Telling us more about Epic, Annabel shares,

“It was so amazing and humbling getting to work with Bret ‘Epic’ Mazur on this remix.  I am so grateful for his talents and for the summer spin he put on the song.”

You can listen to “Retrograde (Epic Remix)” on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.
