Moon Taxi performs a mood-boosting show at the Granada

Date:

Nashville based indie-rock band, Moon Taxi, delivered a vibrant and spirited show to a rowdy crowd on a Thursday night stop in Dallas as part of their Silver Dream tour. The audience – filled with Moon Taxi superfans, it seemed – danced and sang along to every song of the set from start to finish.

The band opened the show with “Make Your Mind Up” from their 2015 album Daybreaker and went on to play a blend of classics from years past, like “All Day All Night,” “Let The Record Play,” and “Morocco,” as well as plenty of new tunes from their latest project, Silver Dream. They also delivered a crowd-pleasing mashup of Manfred Mann’s Earth Band’s “Blinded By The Light” which they artfully blended in and out with their own “Whiskey Sunsets.”

The show was everything that’s great about live music – extended interludes/postludes, drum solos, lights and stage production that bounced and danced along with the music, and contagious enthusiasm from both the band and the crowd. The show made for a mood-boosting Thursday night and if you get the chance, it’s one you don’t want to miss.
