Winter rages on as I Shiver releases “GLOOM”

Date:

Singer-songwriter I Shiver creates a cozy folk-inspired pop sound on his new single “GLOOM.” Coming in at just under three minutes, this track is a straightforward crooning about the fear of losing someone you love.

“GLOOM” is I Shiver’s first single of 2025, adding to a catalogue of singles and an EP. The soft-spoken pop song adds slight autotune, harmonies, and strings to the main backing electric guitar. With the upbeat melody and smoothness, the track as a whole is anything but gloomy and is more of a relaxed singalong for the brokenhearted. Relying heavily on the repeated line “I don’t want to lose your love,” “GLOOM” creates a catchy hook that swells and retreats across the length of the track.

All in all, “GLOOM” features clean production and is a pleasant track. Floating along behind a clean guitar line, the lyrics seem introspective, but never really cut too deep emotionally. You can stream “GLOOM” below and follow along with I Shiver on social media.
