Carter Rubin drops newest go-to single, “ready when ur not”

Date:

Pop singer Carter Rubin just released his latest song “ready when ur not,” and he has proven once again why he deserves to be seen as the next big thing.

After performing it every night while opening for Abi Carter and SERGIO this fall, the demand for its release was obvious. The addicting sound pulls you in right away, as does the rest of his show-stopping discography. Carter admits this one is very special to him, as it’s “about the girl I almost dated… and the timing just never lined up.” This was seemingly written about a “right person, wrong timing” situation, only it kept happening over and over.

Carter nails that push-and-pull emotional ordeal: “Oh the will they, won’t they’s / way less fun in real life / I’d buy you flowers / Try to open your eyes / But by the time you realize it / They’d all die.” With his strong metaphors and powerful vocals, this song will make you immediately want to add more of his music to your playlists.
