Nashville-based artist townsend is back with his newest track “slipping.”
The alternative pop-rock single is relatable to its very core, lending itself to an audience that comes from all walks of life. “slipping” is one of those songs that you will want to listen to over and over during a long drive or when you just need to feel less alone in whatever situation you may be facing.
The track goes from being a stripped-down instrumental to becoming incredibly climatic, oscillating between the two dynamics. townsend brings an authenticity to the song that is palpable and truly speaks to so many of us.
townsend shares a bit about his musical journey and how it relates to “slipping,” stating:
“I’ve been a working musician, songwriter and producer for about the last ten years while also having a day job – needless to say it can get pretty exhausting trying to balance everything. Life has a way of throwing curve balls when you least expect it and this song is about just that – working through uncertainty the older I get.”
