Yebba announces second studio album ‘Jean’, shares new single

Date:

Yebba has announced her highly anticipated second studio album, Jean, set to release on March 6. Alongside the announcement, the singer-songwriter has shared the first single from the forthcoming album, “Yellow Eyes.” The single marks her first release in 2.5 years, giving fans a look inside the artist’s new era.

The album is said to explore Yebba’s adult years, when no one knows what they’re doing and you realize you are both stronger and more confused than you ever expected to be. “The more I felt healed, the more lost I felt,” she admits. As her first album since her 2021 debut Dawn, the artist wanted to introduce a more intimate chapter of her songwriting, creating it entirely in her own time.

“Yellow Eyes” gives grace to the beauty of remembering, while also knowing you cannot stay in those memories forever. It is reflective and introspective, but also accepting. The track ties into the album’s theme of forgiveness and holds the soulful, gospel style that Yebba has beautifully mastered.

Pre-save Jean now, and stay tuned for more music from Yebba.
