Three Minute Heroes Vol.2: A Mental Health & Music Initiative Album

Date:

The Three Minute Heroes album compilation releases today, filled with tracks by young bands and artists from Hull & East Yorkshire, UK. This mental health and music initiative was created to allow young people to voice worries and concerns of their generation through an album of influential and powerful music. Following from Volume 1, a successful first release in 2017 with coverage from BBC R1, DIY and Radio X. The 2nd Volume proves to be a similar hit after its release on Spotify earlier today, with BBC 6’s Music Show and John Kennedy’s Radio X having played some of the new tracks already, with Kennedy stating it is “Sounding excellent & such a great idea behind the record, really really powerful”.

The album/project has been so effective in helping young people voice their thoughts, build confidence & learn to express themselves, that it has been added to East Yorkshire’s Withernsea High’s school curriculum with much success. There have since been plans to roll out the scheme to other schools in the area as far as Manchester, as to help younger students be more vocal about their mental health.
