NYC-native Sam Setton has released a new single titled “FANTASY,” a subtle dance-pop record with hints of R&B reminiscent of LANY and Drake. With soft, breathy vocals and an atmospheric production, Setton creates an intimate yet addictive track.
Lyrically, he writes about his struggle to move on from someone who ghosted him, even though part of him knows that person wasn’t the one. In the chorus, the pain in Setton’s voice becomes evident as he sings, “Deep down I hoped / You’d disappear on me / I bared my soul to you / And now it’s become clear to me.”
Since debuting in 2016 with his single “Berlin,” Setton has released two albums and two EPs that have helped him reach millions of streams on Spotify alone. He has also performed at iconic live music venues such as the Peppermint Club in Los Angeles, and Bowery Ballroom and Elsewhere in New York.
