Bluhm releases dream-pop single “Sugar Phantom Blackout”

Date:

Detroit-based band Bluhm has released their newest single “Sugar Phantom Blackout,” written and recorded in their home studio, ahead of their upcoming album set to release later this year.

“Sugar Phantom Blackout” is a dark, hypnotic dream-pop track with lush synth textures and ethereal vocals. Mixed by Tony Hoffer (M83, Beck, Nation of Language), the single boasts a cinematic quality that transports listeners into a shadowy mental landscape.

Bluhm consists of vocalist and songwriter Claire Bluhm and producer and multi-instrumentalist John Marion. The pair blend hazy synth-pop and dream-pop, with audiences likening their sound to artists like Beach House, The Marías and Chromatics.
