Toronto producer and singer-songwriter Quinn Mills has released a new single titled, “LIFETIME.” The Canadian up-and-comer got his start playing guitar at 8 years old, and released his first single, “James Dean,” with MP Music House in 2016. In March, Mills appeared on a high-energy dance track with fellow Canadian producer Noche and pop singer-songwriter Nia Nadurata.
With, “LIFETIME,” he is carving out his own path in the Canadian music scene, drawing from influences like Childish Gambino and The Weeknd to create a unique sound that skillfully pairs bedroom pop and lo-fi indie. It creates a very relaxed atmosphere with just a touch of nostalgic longing. Mills also employs really interesting instrumentation, with what sounds like a distorted horn and woodwind section through the bulk of the track, and a surprising orchestral outro. “LIFETIME,” is an impressive showcase of Mills’ musical aptitude and ear for production.
“LIFETIME,” is available to stream wherever you listen to music, and you can check out Quinn Mills’ other music here:
