Fresh off a momentous run with 5 Seconds of Summer at London’s O2 Arena and a main stage appearance at Download Festival, South Arcade is back with an explosive new single, “SUPERMAN” — their first release of 2026.
For fans of eclectic rock acts such as Poppy, Waterparks, and PVRIS, South Arcade masterfully blends a Y2K-inspired sound with pop and alt-rock influences in a track the band describes as a “rage anthem.” It’s about being pushed past your breaking point and finding dark humor in the contrasts of life, a theme mirrored in atmospheric verses balanced with chaotic choruses.
The accompanying music video, directed by DOGBRAIN, cinematically evokes 2000s sitcom vibes while exploring the complex tension between intrusive thoughts and the masks we wear when facing the outside world. Think “rage fantasies,” like burning your workplace down after your boss makes you angry… sorry, spoiler alert.
The video is fun, energetic, and grounds the band’s explosive energy in relatable human experiences, connecting with the audience and marking a major new chapter for the group. You can catch them on the road for idobi Radio’s Summer School Tour in June, followed by the legendary Vans Warped Tour, and more.
“SUPERMAN” is available everywhere now, and tickets for their upcoming tour dates are officially on sale here.
