Navah Sea’s “window” is an evocative journey through nature and sound

Date:

British songwriter, producer, and visual artist Phil Simmonds—now based in Los Angeles and working under the alias Navah Sea—unveils his mesmerizing new single, “window,” a collaboration with Devan born from their first creative session in early 2024. Taking inspiration from Violet Skies and Bon Iver, Navah Sea creates a sonic identity by mixing together organic, natural textures with artificial, electronic techniques to create an eclectic signature sound.

With vocals lent by Devan, “window” incorporates folk and electronica elements to create a captivating dreamscape with a lively, yet simplistic feel. Navah Sea’s stylistic approach to production, achieved by resampling organic elements, creates a characterful yet high-production finish that feels deeply connected to nature. The balance of the organic and electronic elements alongside the powerful storytelling in the lyrics makes for a refreshing and hypnotic listen.

“window” is included in Navah Sea and Devan’s debut EP Park Music, which is a vivid soundtrack to wandering thoughts and quiet moments, making it an evocative first chapter in Navah Sea’s musical journey. You can listen to “window” below.
