Miley Cyrus‘ pop stardom made her the ideal choice to lend her voice to a song in the otherworldly Avatar: Fire In Ash. “Dream As One” will appear in the end credits of Avatar: Fire and Ash and was written by Cyrus, Andrew Wyatt, Mark Ronson, and Simon Franglen. It will be included on the original movie soundtrack, set for release on December 12. Advance tickets for the movie will go on sale Monday, November 17.
“Every lyric remembers where we’ve been, reflects where we are, and holds hope for what’s ahead for all of us. It was an honor to create something so personal for a film that connects so deeply with people around the world.”
“Dream As One” unwinds as a dreamy pop lullaby, drawing you into a world of destined, unbreakable love. Cyrus gets personal, painting intimate moments: listening to heartbeats, finding a sense of “home” in someone’s presence. Then the chorus arrives and everything gets brighter. There’s this sense of strength and togetherness, like two people who stick it out through anything and somehow move perfectly in sync. But honestly, what pulls you in is Cyrus’ voice. There’s something hypnotic about it, almost magical, like you can’t help but listen. Somehow, it makes the whole love story feel huge and cosmic, but still totally real.
