Pop-rock duo Honey Revenge have made their return with bold new single “Risk” on May 23rd via Thriller Records.
“Risk” is one of their most sonically ambitious songs, with equally daring lyrics to match. It’s a daunting and vibrant track about taking chances and breaking free of limitations. Honey Revenge explores the battle of dealing with overthinking, fear, and change and not letting these obstacles stunt your personal growth. The line “The world moves fast, but you’re moving faster / reinvent the wheel if you dare” invites the audience to let go of anything that’s holding them back from reaching their true potential and allow themselves to not be afraid to fail.
The track signals a step towards an entirely new direction for the duo. Vocalist Devin Papadol shares,
“We’re trying to take chances in this next phase as a band. The entire premise of the song is without discomfort there is no growth, and we want to grow! The only thing we have to fear is fear itself and we are choosing to not be scared.”
This track is a treat from the very first note. Its driving beat, dynamic vocal delivery, and glittering guitars compel the listener to continuously hit repeat after these glorious 3 minutes come to an end. Honey Revenge has perfected the ultimate recipe for a catchy, danceable tune and delivers it in a fun and refreshing way with this entry into a new era.
“Risk” is accompanied by a fearlessly striking music video that features both Papadol and guitarist Donny Lloyd in casinos and riding motorbikes off desert cliffs. It’s a visually stunning representation of the true meaning behind the track and flawlessly brings it to life.
Honey Revenge is currently on the road for their Loving and Losing Tour, which will be stopping all over North America from May through July. The duo will also be taking the stage at all three Vans Warped Tour dates this summer in DC, California, and Florida. Tickets and information for Honey Revenge’s upcoming shows can be found here.
