Honey Revenge has unveiled their addictive new single “Hot Commodity” via Thriller Records.
The bass-driven track is an enticing anthem that celebrates ownership, authenticity and knowing your self-worth. The pop-rock duo explores the gruesome reality of finally receiving praise for your success, but only after everyone ignores the hard work and dedication it takes to get there. “Hot Commodity” is an invigorating effort that criticizes insincere, superficial support and advocates for the underdogs of the world. Vocalist Devin Papadol shares,
“A ‘hot commodity’ refers to an asset that is currently in high demand, extremely popular, or highly valuable. It signifies something that is heavily sought after, often selling out quickly or being in short supply. There will always be people that want to take credit for your success, or say they’ve believed in you ‘since the beginning.’ The world will constantly try to force you into its molds and expectations, but it’s vital to be your most authentic self.”
Honey Revenge first premiered “Hot Commodity” live while on tour with Belmont and Rain City Drive in the UK/EU last month. The new single is the third addition to this new era for the pair, following last year’s vengeful “Poison Apple Baby” and inspirational “Risk.” Honey Revenge continues to craft a more mature, confident style mixed with their signature pop-rock charm with each new release. Papadol adds,
“‘Hot Commodity’ is about shamelessly being you no matter what. Being different is what makes you a hot commodity and those that don’t understand will be the same people applauding your success when you reach your goals.”
Honey Revenge recently announced that they’ll be returning to the Vans Warped Tour lineup this year for its Washington, D.C., Long Beach, CA and Orlando, FL dates. Tickets and information regarding these shows can be found here.
