The alt-pop duo is heating up the summer with their new single “Don’t Sweat It,” released via DCD2/Fueled By Ramen. The track comes just one month after the sharply bittersweet “So Happy,” which introduced fans to this new wave of fun summer anthems.
The dreamy anthem tells a glittering story of a fleeting summer romance. “Told you that little red bikini was the only thing / the only strings that you could get attached to,” and “Feelings are fading like your touch on my thigh / seasons are changing, but we had a good time,” deliver the true nature of temporary summer flings in the playful manner Daisy Grenade has become known for. It’s the duo’s most pop-leaning track to date, complete with magical harmonies and an irresistibly fun production that makes you want to play “Don’t Sweat It” on full volume with the windows down. Daisy Grenade declares this one is definitely the song of the summer, sharing,
“This song deserves to be played on a Bluetooth speaker out loud on the train on your way to Coney Island with all of your best friends. It’s an earworm but not in a bad way, in the way that you want to listen to it ad nauseam. The harmonies replicate the feeling of literal sunshine on your literal shoulders.”
“Don’t Sweat It” comes with a fun, high-energy performance video that was filmed while the duo was supporting Pierce The Veil earlier this summer and on their current adventure supporting Honey Revenge. Daisy Grenade debuted the track at the first date of the I Can’t Hear You Tour in May and has continued to perform the song to build momentum for its release with crowds all over the United States. They even performed it at their biggest hometown show yet, introducing the entire crowd at NYC’s Madison Square Garden to Daisy Grenade’s infectious charm.
