Daisy Grenade has become one of the most explosive acts in the modern alternative/pop-punk scene over the last few years. The Brooklyn-based duo has proven yet again that their reign has only just begun with the release of their bitter new single, “So Happy.”
Led by Keaton Whittaker and Dani Nigro, “So Happy” is the duo’s first original release since the gruesomely witty “How To Hide A Body” in October 2024. This track is a true embodiment of the jealous feelings that come with seeing someone who’s no longer in your life thriving without you. Its glittering guitar riffs, sharp hooks, and stunning vocals highlight the duo’s capability of crafting the perfect catchy tune that packs a punch.
The playful lyricism found on “So Happy” makes this song a vibrant addition to their growing discography. Lyrics like “Soaking up the moment through a paper straw” and “If misery loves company, then why is no one next to me?” showcase their ability to put a fun twist on writing about even the most unpleasant situations.
It’s certainly shaping up to be a Daisy Grenade summer. In addition to new music, they’ve got a booked and busy summer schedule ahead of them on the road. “So Happy” comes just three days after the duo began a massive tour supporting Pierce The Veil, where the track got its live debut alongside another unreleased track “Don’t Sweat It.” Immediately following these dates, they’ll be joining Honey Revenge on their summer Loving and Losing Tour between the end of May and beginning of July.
