Bonnaroo Music Festival to skip 2027 due to storm damages

Date:

The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival will be taking a “much-needed break” for 2027, as announced on its official website on Aug. 21.

According to the Bonnaroo team in a statement, even after countless efforts to improve the campgrounds and stage areas before this year, including improved drainage, new roadways, and 135 acres of new grass in the months leading up to the 2026 festival, the main venue will need more time to recuperate from years of storms and damage. The festival, held in Manchester, Tennessee, will return to its normal schedules and dates in 2028.

“This wasn’t an easy decision, and not one we take lightly, but in our hearts, we know this break will only make Bonnaroo better,” the statement said. “We hope you’ll continue radiating positivity in your community throughout the year and thank you for loving this festival as much as we do.”
