Rock icon and lead vocalist Amy Lee from Evanescence confirmed their sixth studio album; set to release next spring.

In a brief interview with actor and KROQ host Kevin Ryder, Lee talked about touring with heavy metal band Metallica and hinted at the new record fans are ecstatic to hear. “Next year, yeah let’s say that. A few more lyrics to write but it’s going really well; I’m really excited about it.”

After announcing the anticipatory news, Ryder and Lee further conversated about Lee’s current whereabouts. From her move from NYC to Nashville before the pandemic, she explained how great it is to be near family again. Upon further reflection, she mentioned how Brooklyn will always be her second home.

This conversation was held at the KROQ’s annual “Almost Acoustic Christmas” music festival on December 13th at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Special guests such as Yellowcard, Papa Roach, and The All-American Rejects (to name a few) were in attendance at this unforgettable event.
