Rising shoegaze rock group Glixen have released “all tied up,” the latest single to be released ahead of the band’s new EP quiet pleasures, out February 21 via AWAL. Opening with steady drums and heavy, melancholy guitars, Glixen continue to establish themselves as pioneers in modern-day shoegaze with their latest release.

After a busy 2024 of playing SXSW, performing in front of massive crowds across the country and releasing a steady string of singles, Glixen don’t plan on slowing down in 2025. Following the release of their upcoming EP, the band will embark on their debut headlining North American tour. Glixen will also make appearances at Coachella, Noise Pop Festival and Freakout Weekender.

With a haunting, sorrowful musicality, Glixen brings forward everything there is to love about the shoegaze genre, while bringing the concept to new sonic heights. Combining melancholy vocals with hard-hitting instrumentality, the Phoenix-based quartet have earned massive praise throughout their career for their individualistic artistry.

quiet pleasures, the sophomore EP from Glixen, is the band’s first full-length project since their 2023 EP She Only Said. Having released four singles ahead of quiet pleasures—“lick the star,” “lust,” “forevermoon” and “sick silent”—there’s no doubt that Glixen’s upcoming record will mark a new sonic era for the indie rock group. Known for their incredibly moving resonance, Glixen will only continue to grow in the rock music scene.
