JEEN transports us into the world of shoegaze rock with “Pour Your Heart”

Date:

Jeen Pour Your Heart

JEEN is a female rock artist from Toronto, Canada. Her work has been featured in commercials for major companies including Google, Estée Lauder, Panasonic, and more. She began releasing her solo projects in 2015 with her debut album, Tourist. Now, she’s anticipating the release of her latest album Gold Control out on February 2nd. She’s more than just a songwriter- she’s pushing the boundaries within soft rock and takes her listeners on a journey to the settings she depicts in her music.

Following “So What” -the first single off of Gold Control- is JEEN’s newest single “Pour Your Heart.” This track was the first song recorded for the new album, and it’s got so much character to it. Similar to artists such as My Bloody Valentine and Slow Pulp, there’s both shoegaze & grunge elements in the production. Lyrically, this is a song about finding a silver lining in the midst of hard times, which is something that everybody needs to hear at some point or another. Sure this track is a rock song, but it’s also an experience for the listener, and we’re eager for the rest of the album to blow us away.
