Recent News: Released her debut album, Be Sweet To Me, on May 29 via Republic Records / Auroura Records

Through her infectious, buzzed-out guitar grooves and undeniably poetic resonance, alt-rock starlet Violet Grohl has already proven herself destined for musical greatness. After making her debut in late 2025 with introductory singles “THUM” and “Applefish,” Grohl has continued to carve out her own space in the indie rock scene, bringing together gritty, punk-infused experimentation with charming lyricism. Embracing an ethereal edge not seen since the alternative sonic greatness of ’80s and ’90s indie rock, Grohl maintains an artistry that is entirely her own, both visually and musically.

After building up the hype around her artistry over these last few months, Grohl now basks in the release of her debut full-length album Be Sweet To Me, released May 29 via Republic Records / Auroura Records. Across 11 tracks, the “595” singer decorates nostalgic alternative influences with a modern radiance, crafting a body of work that not only dazzles listeners but firmly introduces the world to Grohl’s intricate artistic universe.

While Grohl has long been surrounded by the rock music world (her father is the Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters and Nirvana fame), her music is inspired by a wide array of personal influences, ranging from Billie Eilish to Cocteau Twins to Bjork, resulting in a sound that flawlessly balances grungy compositions with a dreamy atmosphere. Whether its through the gritty “Often Others” or the mysterious “Mobile Star,” Grohl proves on Be Sweet To Me that her artistry is limitless.

Shortly after the release of her debut record, Grohl made her television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing the album’s highlight track “Bug In The Cake.” Tickets for her debut headline tour go on sale Friday, June 5 at 10:00 am local time. Set to make her way across Europe, the U.K., and the U.S. this summer and fall, Grohl will also make a number of festival appearances this year, including Leeds Festival, Reading Festival, Riot Fest, Shaky Knees, All Things Go, and more. While the release of Be Sweet To Me generated significant buzz in the music world, those who are paying attention know that there are many greater things to come from indie rock’s newest trailblazer.
