Eliza & The Delusionals Explore Love And Identity In New Single “Falling For You”

Date:

On July 19, 2024, the indie pop-rock trio composed of Eliza Klatt, Kurt Skuse, and Ruby Lee, Eliza & The Delusionals, is set to release their highly anticipated sophomore album, Make It Feel Like The Garden. This album was conceptualized on their 2022 North American tour. Hailing from Victoria, Australia, this album was influenced by the different atmospheres and cultures they experienced on tour. These experiences inspired honest, genuine lyrics and encouraged them to explore and experiment with styles outside their comfort zone. Their latest song “Falling For You” is the first single released from Make It Feel Like The Garden.

“Falling For You” focuses on the struggle of maintaining personal identity while falling in love. Through steady guitar and smooth saxophone, lyrics such as “I don’t feel the same / But your love keeps talking / I don’t wanna feel your pain / But my heart keeps talking” shows the push and pull between the want to fall in love and the need to stay true to yourself. Eliza & The Delusionals have also released a music video created by Tom Carroll to accompany this track that connects the message from “Falling For You” to the overall concept of “the garden” featured throughout Make It Feel Like The Garden.

Sharing more about “Falling For You”, Klatt comments:

“’Falling For You’ was a personal favorite from the get-go for me. There’s just something about the driving beat and the soaring melodies that I love. We knew we wanted to experiment with saxophone for this record, and this song felt like the perfect track for that. I think there is so much emotion to it, and it’s such a beautiful part of the song. To me, lyrically it’s about not wanting to fall down the rabbit hole of falling in love but you just can’t help it.”
