Singer-songwriter Bess Atwell has always known music to be her truest love. She grew up on the English Countryside, where she began to dabble in songwriting at an early age. You may recognize her from our past coverage here at Melodic. Her 2016 debut album Hold Your Mind gathered the attention of BBC Radio One and other larger radio stations after Atwell performed at England’s The Great Escape music festival. Since then, she’s mastered and embraced her folk-style branding and is gearing up for the release of her third record, Light Sleeper.
Bess Atwell’s fourth single off of her upcoming album is “Fan Favourite”. It follows the previous single “Release Myself”, and you can read about Melodic’s praise for it here. “Fan Favourite” blends Atwell’s signature folk songwriting style & production textures that elevate the track to a whole other level. There’s a lot of nice, subtle hidden gems in the production that blend perfectly with her hopeful lyricism and ethereal harmonies to create a wistful, carefully crafted song. Bess Atwell is an incredibly talented songwriter, and we can’t wait for Light Sleeper out on May 24th!
