Your Future Ghost Steps Into Their Feral Era on “PRITTY”

Date:

Your Future Ghost is a duo comprised of Billboard-charting artist Kate Voegele and the acclaimed songwriter and producer Michael Grubbs. Combining infectious synth-pop hooks with rock-tinged undercurrents, Your Future Ghost is a cataclysm of sonic influences. Their latest release entitled “PRITTY” is all about embracing your wild side and becoming irresistibly authentic.

“PRITTY” draws together descending riffs of electric guitar that drop like an elevator, pounding, pop-laced percussion, and an anthemic vocal that collides over the track. Speaking volumes to the inherent attraction that comes with being true to oneself, “PRITTY” encourages us to step into our core identities. Emphasizing the hot in a ‘hot mess’, “PRITTY” is a euphoric celebration of our guilty pleasures.

Revealing more on their track, Vogele confides, “The song is about being a little unhinged but also irresistible. You’re self-aware enough to know you’re kind of a mess, but you also not sorry about it because you’re a blast to have around. It’s kind of about just knowing that the weirdest thing about you is probably also the coolest thing about you, and not being afraid to celebrate that even if it makes some people mad or uncomfortable.”

Your Future Ghost was a project born after artists Kate Voegele and Michael Grubbs met on set of the CW’s One Tree Hill. Preparing for the release of their upcoming album, “PRITTY” gives us just a taste of what’s to come.
