Brisbane local Christos releases single in anticipation of new EP – “all fades to dust”

Date:

Alternative artist Christos, who hails from Brisbane, Australia, has released catchy and rhythmic new single “stranger” in anticipation of his EP. The upcoming EP – entitled all fades to dust – is set to release on February 22. However, a select number of eager ears will get to hear the project at his exclusive EP launch show five days prior, on February 17.

Through “stranger,” Christos incorporates sound qualities of the early-2010’s indie-rock music that set the blueprint for the genre as we know it.

His voice comes in unexpected, with a raspiness that is as enthralling as that of Post Malone. Upon the explosion of the chorus, his voice becomes clear and assertive, with hints of the same intensity that made us fall in love with Dominic Fike.

That isn’t to suggest that Christos’ sound is unoriginal, as this single alone shows a versatile blend of different genres that work seamlessly together in a manner that is both relatable and swoon-worthy.

“This track is about someone who once held great significance in your life
slowly turning into a stranger, and it speaks on trying to find yourself again and mend what’s been damaged after this occurs,” said Christos.

The artist himself confirmed that there is significant emotion behind this latest single, and sets the tone for what we’ll see in his EP next month.

“This would have to be one of the most powerful tracks I’ve written.”
