Dermot Kennedy releases highly anticipated album Sonder

Date:

On November 18, 2022 Irish musician Dermot Kennedy, released his newest album titled Sonder. The newly released album has been highly anticipated since the release of his first studio album Without Fear, which was released late 2019. Lead single from the Sonder album titled “Something to Someone” released May 2022 and has over 32 million streams on Spotify and growing rapidly.

Kennedy explained the meaning behind the newly released album name as “The meaning behind Sonder has resonated with me so much for years. I exist in an industry where we’re encouraged to constantly only think about ourselves and I find that exhausting and uninspiring. I want to learn about you. Let us share all our triumphs, all of our troubles. Let this music belong to us, to find our own stories and our own solace within it.”

A former busker from Ireland, Kennedy provides us with 11 enjoyable tracks on “Sonder” which include hits “Something to Someone,” “Kiss Me,” “Better Days,” and “Already Gone. With his original folk meets pop style Kennedy never fails to provide pure raw emotion, not only within his lyrics, but also his voice.

Kennedy has luckily announced a 2023 tour starting in the UK in March, and wrapping up in June in North America. Tickets are on sale now, click   HERE to get more information on a show near you.
