First Aid Kit release “Out of My Head” and announce upcoming album ‘Palomino’

Date:

First Aid Kit have released “Out of My Head,” the 2nd single to promote their upcoming album, Palomino. “Out of My Head” follows the album’s lead single, “Angel.” The Swedish indie-folk duo is comprised of sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg, who wrote “Out of My Head” with Björn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John. The single was produced by Daniel Bengtson and is accompanied by a music video directed by Jason Lester.

“Out of My Head” defies genre; it is an indie-folk track with elements of ‘80s synth-pop. (Think Fleetwood Mac + Kate Bush.) The song is a captivating combination of deeply personal lyrics and flawless harmonies. The Söderberg sisters have said that “Out of My Head” is “about feeling stuck in your own thoughts and desperately wanting to escape.” They sing, “Like a beggar on my knees…Like a prisoner, set me free…Let me out, out of my mind / Out of my head.”

Palomino is out November 4th, 2022.
