FLETCHER sells out O2 Shepherds Bush Empire

Date:

American singer-songwriter FLETCHER (full name, Cari Fletcher) put on a phenomenal performance to a sold-out crowd of 2,000 (her largest headline crowd ever) on Tuesday night. The gig took place at London’s iconic O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and had such an incredible atmosphere.

Gracey opened up the night with a great set, which included her on stage along with her 2-piece band. As always, Gracey put on a great energetic performance and had the whole audience dancing along with her. Her set included performances of her songs “99%” and “What A Waste”, as well as “Don’t Need Love”.

The second support of the night was from fellow American singer-songwriter, Upsahl (full name Taylor Upsahl), who was joined on stage by her two-piece band. Upsahl put on a brilliant set and performed a big selection of her songs including “Drugs”, her next single “Monica Lewinsky”, which is out next Friday, and the title track from her latest album “Lady Jesus”.

The fans went crazy as the light dimmed and FLETCHER’s band walked onto the stage, playing a dramatic intro “girls girls girls”. When she excitedly walked onto the stage the audience went absolutely crazy. When FLETCHER began signing the lyrics fans began screaming the lyrics back to her, it was truly euphoric. Cari and her three-piece band went straight into “Forever”. You could see how much this show meant to her, it was so lovely to witness.

After this FLETCHER went on to perform “Cherry”, “If You’re Gonna Lie” and “Undrunk”, which had the shouting the lyrics back to the singer. FLETCHER clearly has such great appreciation and love for her fans and took every opportunity to be as close to them as possible, including standing on the barriers and speakers. She even took a break midway through the set to sign fans’ boobs, after admitting to the audience that she had signed over a thousand boobs in her career!

During her last song before the encore, “Bitter”, FLETCHER took a moment to start an Instagram live for the fans that weren’t there that night. Both the fans and FLETCHER went crazy jumping around and dancing, she ended up having so much of a good time that she completely forgot to end the live stream before leaving the stage.

Fans were chanting ‘FLETCHER’ and ‘one more song’ eagerly awaiting the singer’s return to the stage. When she returned she told fans she was going to perform a stripped-back version of a song that isn’t on the setlist for this tour, “Wasted Youth”, which had the fans singing the lyrics back to the singer. Following on from this FLETCHER went on the perform a heartfelt song she wrote for herself during the covid-19 lockdown, “For Cari”. The dedicated fans at the venue pulled off a beautiful fan project, which consisted of them all holding up a heart-shaped piece of paper that said ‘For Cari’, it was truly a beautiful moment to witness. She couldn’t end the night without performing her song “Healing”, which had the crowd singing and dancing along with the talented singer one last time.
