The Archer releases decadent “Northern Star” and accompanying remix

Date:

We became acquainted with DJ, producer, and label head The Archer last year, when the multi-hyphenate creative came onto the scene with “Lonely Dream.”  Receiving much praise from the likes of When We Dip, DJ Times, and Mixmag Brazil, “Lonely Dream” showcased The Archer’s incomparable ability to combine infectious vocals with mesmerizing production.  From there, The Archer went on to help other house and techno artists create music that is just as riveting through his There Is A Light label, which is home to a strong roster of up-and-coming talent.  With so much going on, it is clear why fans had to wait a while to hear The Archer’s follow-up to “Lonely Dream,” but he is making up for it by releasing not one, but two new tracks.

For “Northern Star,” The Archer pulls us into a vibrant oasis.  The incessant rhythms and blissful melodies create a glistening ambience, easy for us to picture the North Star shining brightly above.  The lyrics reflect the idea of being under the spell of such a bright entity, as we hear about a strong connection between two individuals.  As The Archer states,

“’Northern Star’ is about the magical experience of meeting someone that makes you feel high instantly based on the connection.”

Along with the release of “Northern Star,” The Archer is also giving us a remixed version of the track from Grammy-award winning producer and composer Latroit.  This remix retains the core of the original, but infuses elements of deep house music.  The result is a slower, sultrier house tune that is impossible to resist.

You can listen to “Northern Star” and “Northern Star (Latroit Remix)” on platforms like Apple Music, and Spotify.
