YUNGBLUD and Aerosmith are currently working on creating a legendary collaborative EP titled One More Time.
Last Friday, fans of both musicians had a glimpse of that magic in their lead single, “My Only Angel.” This was announced on Instagram over a week after their VMA performance in honor of Ozzy Osbourne.
With YUNGBLUD and Aerosmith fans being introduced to the both older and newer eras of classic rock and roll, “My Only Angel” embodies both worlds.
“My Only Angel” is a song that captures what it means to say goodbye to someone you love and care for. This true from the sultry lyrics in Steven Tyler’s (lead vocalist of Aerosmith) first verse, “My pretty little poison, I’ll taste you in the morning / Drink you in the evening then we’ll go out stealing / Won’t rest ‘til I find you, won’t rest ‘til I like you one last time,” to YUNGBLUD’s third verse: “You say you wanna keep me around your little finger / But, baby, I’m a runner, baby, I’m a gunner / Don’t know where you’ll find me, but I hope that you’ll find me one last time…”. These lines serve to express the pure emotion of what it’s like to leave someone you care about behind, while also acknowledging memories you’ve had with that person.
In the official visualizer, YUNGBLUD and the members of Aerosmith are seen creating and promoting the release of the song itself. From goofy moments hanging out in the studio to seeing the creative talent flow through each artist, the official visualizer allows fans to feel like they were experiencing the artists’ unforgettable memories first-hand.
“My Only Angel” is the collaboration fans of both visionaries will continue to talk about from years to come.
