Wicca Phase Springs Eternal and Ethel Cain surprise fans with new collaborative single “Meet Me Anywhere”

Date:

Following the announcement of Wicca Phase Springs Eternal’s new album Mossy Oak Shadow that was posted on Instagram in July, Wicca and Ethel Cain surprised fans with an unexpected collaboration called “Meet Me Anywhere.”

Posted on Ethel Cain’s Instagram story was a screenshot of lyrics from their song; and she expressed the amount of appreciation she has for Wicca stating, “thank u for having me, it’s been too long since we got to sing together” alongside an outline of a heart. This is Wicca’s and Ethel’s second collaboration together since “God’s Country” – one of Ethel’s leading singles off of her 2021 EP Inbred.

“Meet Me Anywhere” is a two-minute track where country, folk, and indie are in tune. Composed of steel-string acoustic guitars, Wicca’s deep baritone vocals, and the comforting layered harmonies of Ethel Cain’s voice, “Meet Me Anywhere” is a reflective dialogue between two people who are in a partnership; yearning to be together again no matter the distance. The last chorus defines this beautiful connection perfectly: “What if we met where the mountain meets moon? / And mystery’s heavy, just call when you’re ready, I’ll head to you soon / As long as magic’s there / Meet me anywhere.” Although this is a small glimpse of what the overall song encapsulates, “Meet Me Anywhere” is a tender love letter of wanting to be close to the partner who loves you in every lifetime.

Both artists are currently on the road leading their separate North American and European tours. Wicca is on his Golden Apples tour with “mystery mountain band” Turnover. Meanwhile, Ethel Cain is on the road for her successful sophomore album of Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You.
