The Two Romans offer a hopeful perspective in new track “Like It Like This”

Date:

In a pool of doubt and difficult situations, The Two Romans—an international band from Italy, Germany and Switzerland featuring a frontman brother duo, Sam and Matt—swim to the surface to voice the silver linings that keep us afloat. The band released their 15-track album, Real Life Lovers, which features the hopeful, bright-perspective song “Like It Like This.”

The Two Romans draw inspiration from rock bands such as Gang of Youths and Nothing But Thieves to craft their own sound—a combination of electronic production, bright strings, uplifting piano and a single-layered, powerful vocal track. This modern rock sound has landed them over 150 European shows and festivals, as well as a headlining tour in Germany in 2018.

According to The Two Romans, challenges are unavoidable, but gratitude and appreciation are always available. In “Like It Like This,” they emphasize the importance of embracing the rocky road instead of miserably waiting for it to become smooth. The lyrics, “Life isn’t always easy but I’m not / Gonna hide behind some cheesy lines / Whatever may come I always say one thing / I like it like this” embody the perspective they aim to instill in listeners: seeing the light in hardship.
