Muo Duo addresses the toxicity of drama-driven “Fake Nice Girls” on new single

Date:

Muo Duo—a brother-sister powerhouse composed of Miles and Winter Donnelly—bend the rules of the typical, well-known pop sound in their new single, “Fake Nice Girls,” authentically addressing unnecessary vibe-shifters.

It’s almost impossible to avoid the ones who thrive on drama—spreading rumors and backstabbing every chance they get. In this single, Muo Duo confronts this phenomenon, calling out the “fake nice girls” who belittle others with their two-faced personalities. Their line “social lives make great shark food” serves as a bold metaphor for the drama-fueled mentality that ultimately harms those who fall victim to its toxicity.

The duo gravitates toward crafting a unique, captivating sound on each track, challenging the boundaries of genres and predictability. On “Fake Nice Girls,” they introduce bold trumpet lines, heavy bass and spontaneous electronic samples that keep this song afloat and alive. With this track’s release marking the final single before their debut album, there’s even more to digest and put on repeat.
