Charmer—a Michigan-based indie/alternative rock band formed in 2015—explodes into a heightened state of inescapable spiraling thoughts and heavy burdens in their new single, “Night.”
This band, which has been exploring and evolving sonically for over 10 years, is gearing up for the release of their third full-length album, Downpour, out May 23. The 11-track album marks five years since their last LP and features the intense, spark-driven singles, “Arrowhead,” “Blue Jay” and “Rose Thorns.”
Their newest single, “Night” is no stranger to the brutally introspective themes the preceding singles have alluded to. With heavy riffs, prominent drums and bold lyricism, Charmer is uncovering the messy and complex human experience with a punk/alternative sound that is both emotionally charged and electrifying. Opening your inner thoughts to the world is truly one of the most honest things you can do and in “Night,” Charmer doesn’t hesitate to welcome vulnerability like an old friend you can always rely on.
