After some teasing and speculation, The Academy Is… have announced their return with the Almost Here 20th Anniversary Tour.
The 14-date tour will make its way across the United States this November and December to celebrate the pop-punk icons’ seminal debut album. The tour kicks off on November 13th in Columbus, OH and is set to visit select cities including Boston, Brooklyn, Los Angeles and more before concluding on December 20th in Santa Ana, CA. The band will also be appearing at Riot Fest in Chicago, IL to play Almost Here in full on September 20th.
The Academy Is… have turned some heads with their unique VIP packages and their pricing, ranging from $275 to $5,500. The “Attention Attention” VIP experience includes one general admission ticket, meet and greet with the band, a signed VIP laminate, commemorative show ticket, early entry and early merch shopping.
The “Almost Here” VIP experience, however, promises that you’ll get to “open for The Academy Is… and enjoy all the perks of being a superstar–without any of the pressure to perform!” Fans who opt for this package will receive all of the perks in the “Attention Attention” experience along with the chance to bring a maximum of three guests, enjoy backstage green room access, have their own show rider, take home exclusive show memorabilia and custom art pieces, and earn a spot on the band’s guest list for life.
Both VIP upgrades are currently on sale, while presale for general admission tickets previously began on Tuesday, August 6th.
