Taylor Bickett shares new singles “Goldstar” and “Nothing I Can’t Undo”

Date:

Taylor Bickett has always leaned into honest songwriting, and her new singles “Goldstar” and “Nothing I Can’t Undo” keep that consistent.

“Goldstar” is written as a letter to her younger self, centered around the idea that you’d never be as harsh to her as you are to yourself now. The track itself is really stripped back, with soft, folk-leaning soundscapes sitting somewhere close to Lizzy McAlpine in tone. The video follows the same direction, using real home footage from when she was younger.

On the B-side, “Nothing I Can’t Undo” feels a bit more mature and open-ended. Speaking on the track, Bickett said:

“When writing the song, I came to the realization that I live my life in a very open-ended way. I run from security and attachment but crave it at the same time, and that conflict lies at the center of a lot of the songs on the project.”

Bickett’s been building a following over the past few years following the success of “QUARTER LIFE CRISIS,” which picked up a lot of traction online and resonated with people figuring out early adulthood. Since then, she’s released projects like grown up and lonely and This Isn’t Me Missing You, while also touring with artists like Charlotte Lawrence and Ron Pope.
