Shinedown announces Dance, Kid, Dance Act II world tour and confirms upcoming album, ‘EI8HT’

Date:

Shinedown is treating fans to an amazing 2026: the Jacksonville band has confirmed that their new album, EI8HT, will debut in May, and has unveiled their upcoming worldwide Dance, Kid, Dance Act II tour.

On the new record and upcoming tour, Shinedown vocalist Brent Smith shares:

“This album is over a year in the making. Without question as a band we pushed ourselves like never before. […] We are so excited to finally announce our 8th studio album titled EI8HT alongside our Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour.”

The rock group also dropped their latest rock anthem, “Safe and Sound,” another taste of their (appropriately named) eighth studio album EI8HT, set to debut on May 29, 2026. Smith describes the track as one about “reminding the competition what they are dealing with one by one.”

EI8HT will also feature 2025 singles “Dance, Kid, Dance,” “Three Six Five,” “Killing Fields,” and “Searchlight.”
