“Pretty Thing” by Dani Stocksdale is a story worth listening to

Dani Stocksdale‘s “Pretty Thing” is a fun yet impulsive single that dives into her experience of falling for her brother’s friend, a relationship that slowly turns from sweet to reckless because of his behavior.

The production draws listeners in while Stockdale’s lyricism which brings clarity to the story, exploring how a relationship, already risky due to the people involved, can turn sour, causing heartbreak in the end. 

The 25-year-old artist, currently based in Los Angeles, developed her skills at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Stocksdale’s musical journey was kept private for a long time, but once she decided to share her music with her intimate circle, she saw the effect of her songs and wanted to amplify it by sharing with the world. Stocksdale’s storytelling abilities will help leave her stamp on the industry. Stocksdale shares, 

“I love to come up with lyrics that tickle the intellectual side of your brain, and pair that with catchy melodies.”
