Number_i announce upcoming album, ‘No.II’

Date:

Following a whirlwind year of sold-out shows, record-breaking streaming numbers and global festival appearances, rising J-pop trio Number_i, which is comprised of Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji, and Yuta Kishi, have officially announced their long-awaited sophomore album, No.Ⅱ, out September 22 via TOBE.

The new record follows the massive success of their 2024 debut album No.Ⅰ and their critically acclaimed second EP GOD_i, which generated over 61 million cumulative streams and saw all six tracks land in the Top 20 on Billboard JAPAN. Its explosive lead single “GOD_i” topped the Billboard JAPAN Hot 100 and the Hot Shot Songs chart, and ranked #3 on the U.S. iTunes Music Videos chart.

Ahead of No.Ⅱ, the group will release the album’s lead single “U.M.A.” (Japanese title: 未確認領域, read as Mikakunin Ryōiki) on August 11. The track, born out of in-depth creative conversations among the three members, signals a bold evolution in their sound, incorporating live instrumental recordings and showcasing their continued artistic growth.

The announcement arrives on the heels of Number_i’s debut U.S. performance at Head In The Clouds Festival in Los Angeles.

Since debuting with “GOAT” on January 1, 2024, Number_i has lived up to their name, from topping charts with No.Ⅰ to making headlines with their Jackson Wang remix “GBAD (Number_i Remix)”, the trio continues to establish themselves as one of J-pop’s most exciting acts to watch.
