NF drops music videos for “FEAR” and “WASHED UP” alongside new EP

Date:

NF has officially returned with his latest EP, breaking more than a year of silence. His newest EP FEAR, arrived today November 14 along with two brand-new music videos, one for the title track “FEAR” which dropped directly at midnight, and another for “WASHED UP” premiering at 12:07 a.m., directly after.

For fans who’ve been following NF’s universe since Mansion, this moment seems the long-awaited continuation of a storyline that’s spanned a decade of videos, alter-egos, and unresolved battles inside Nate’s mind.

After 455 days of silence on Instagram, NF abruptly broke the drought with a visual teaser, which called back to his last album and the title track music video, “HOPE.”

The music video for “FEAR” dropped right at midnight. While fans are still dissecting every frame, the early consensus is that “FEAR” serves as a direct narrative sequel to “HOPE” taking place during the cut scene in the music video before a battle with himself atop the mountains.

“WASHED UP,” premiered directly after “FEAR” with fans reading between the lines and believing this to be the first sign of another alter ego? Innocent, losing their voice to possibly faith? Darkness, which has over taken Fear and burned down the mansion?

NF’s return with FEAR follows the massive success of HOPE, which debuted at No. 1 on multiple Billboard charts and led to a sold-out global tour. With over 55 billion combined streams, 62 RIAA certifications, and more than 1.25 million tickets sold, NF continues to be one of the most consumed artists on the planet, despite near-total silence on social media at times.

NF doesn’t release casually. Every piece of music, every visual, every alter-ego is part of a decade-long conversation he’s having with himself and with the listeners who see their own battles reflected in his.

While the FEAR vinyl are completely sold out, fans can order a physical copy of the EP in CD form signed, here.

FEAR Track List:
