Alt-pop artist Dempsey Bolton is back with his new single “GIANTS.”
The track is bouncy and fun, with a lo-fi feel and an atmospheric soundscape. “GIANTS” is instrumentally dynamic, making listening to the song incredibly enjoyable. There is an air of deep introspection woven into the song that is positive and uplifting, encouraging audiences to look at the bigger picture that is life.
Demspey shares how the song came about, stating:
“I went to school for astrophysics and after graduating I wrote this song about the universe and how we’re made up of the same atoms that made stars billions of years ago. and I find that very grounding and comforting. in a world where we feel so connected all the time and our problems seem so significant, it’s nice to be reminded how small they really are.”
Dempsey Bolton self-produces all of his indie pop hits, layering them with punchy beats and introspective lyrics. His momentum as an artist has been skyrocketing; he won a YYC Music Award for Pop Single of the Year for his song “Couple Minutes” and was showcased at Breakout West and MUSEXPO LA.
