JORDY announces his reflective full-length album ‘In Retrospect’

Date:

LA-based pop artist JORDY has just announced his fourth full-length studio album, In Retrospect, set for release on July 10 via EMPIRE.

Marking a bold new chapter, the 11-track project finds JORDY at his most self-aware, emotionally expansive, and sonically refined. A cohesive body of work that leans into reflection without losing wit, In Retrospect captures the beauty of healing, getting older, and the push-and-pull between who we were, who we are, and who we’re becoming. It’s a project rooted in growth, nostalgia, and the clarity that only comes with hindsight, delivered through his unmistakable blend of vulnerable storytelling and pop precision.

JORDY shares the story behind the album:

“In Retrospect started as a breakup record, but it quickly became something much bigger. It turned into an album about healing. About growing. I think when people find themselves stuck in bad relationships, they often blame themselves for not leaving sooner. They carry guilt over the time they feel they’ve wasted. But writing this album helped me see it differently. The moment I chose to leave the toxicity behind, I felt like I found myself again. I got healthier, mentally and physically. I gave myself permission to mourn the life I thought I’d be living at 30, the future I imagined as a kid. I found peace in remembering that nothing is ever as serious as it feels. I found my power again. In retrospect, the pain and suffering may have been the very thing that saved me.”

Now, JORDY is stepping into a bold new era with In Retrospect, one defined by intentional storytelling, immersive experiences, and striking visuals that bring fans even closer to his world. It’s a reintroduction that expands his artistry while staying true to what makes JORDY a pop force: authenticity, emotion, and connection.
